A new device is being developed that reduces forehead wrinkles by cooling the nerve that activates the forehead muscles. Cooling the nerve inactivates it temporarily and reduces forehead wrinkles.
A cold probe is inserted into the skin in the temple region where the nerve is located. Results from preliminary studies found that results lasted 3 – 4 months.
Experts don’t see this device replacing Botox, but view it as a complimentary treatment or as n alternative to those who don’t want Botox.
This device is still in its early stages of development and has not received FDA approval.
